Typical Spanish country saddle:wooden tree enforced with steel. The girth is in one length,very easy to fasten.

This  shepherd saddle,vaquera , is  very comfortable for rider and horse .Fitted with a  removable sheepskin saddleseat.Used to ride the whole day.The  history of the saddle goes far back to the middle- ages. Handmade in Spain almost the same way as they did before.The saddle is very flexable,because  the wooden pommel and cantle are connected with leather , strengthened with leatherstripes,sometimes straw or reed is used .Bottemside ,cushions of the saddle are stuffed with wool,sometimes hair and covered with linen.The advantage of  linen is that it is  breathable and will not slide that easy.Quality and lifetime  are  the same as  leather covered.Another advantagei s that  after a short period(depends the frequency the saddle is used) the saddle forms itself to the horseback.This native saddle  from Spain will fit very well on all kinds of horses,sometimes even better than custom made saddles ,with the property leaving the shoulders of the horse free.
